Susie is a 21-year old aspiring fashion designer who currently attends the San Francisco School of Design in San Francisco, California.  She also works part-time as a fashion model for some of the world's famous designers, both appearing in print and on the runways of New York, Milan, London, Paris, and Tokyo.  Susie took on this job to learn more about the business, both from the designers' and models' points of view. 

 

Her love of travel is also a catalyst in her taking on this line of work, as photo shoots can often take her to many faraway and exotic locales - which she uses to their full advantage by getting to know the land, the culture and the people, thus inspiring her own designs.  This is also reflected in her own dressing sensibilities by combining the treasures of the antiquated styles of the past with the modern twists of the now.

Susie's heritage is as exotic as her lifestyle.  A native San Franciscan with a Chinese-American father and a Spanish-American mother, she was brought up to learn, value and be proud of her ancestral heritages.  Early in her childhood, her parents took her to China and Spain to see for herself her cultural origins, a move that made such an impression on her and made her catch the "travel bug".

~ NEW YORK NITES ~

At the end of the week after the last show, a big bash was thrown for all the designers and models to celebrate another successful week of showcasing the season's hottest fashions.  Susie chose to wear an original design by one her most favorite contemporary designers, which was an instant hit to all attendees.

~ TOKYO TRENDY ~

Susie travels to the land of the rising sun for a promotional appearance for a brand new video game that she stars in: "Warrior Girl".  To promote this futuristic, virtual reality video game, Susie chose to wear a two-piece leather outfit with silver buckle trim.  Her hair color is "candy apple red", in homage to various animated and Manga heroines.  She is accompanied by her co-star and love interest in the video, an upcoming Japanese actor, Kenji Kimura, who took an instant liking to Susie.  A replica of her colorful "robo-bear" sidekick, Didi, was presented to her by the producers of the video game during the press junket.
~ CHINA GIRL ~
San Francisco celebrates its annual “Asian-American Heritage Week”, and in conjunction, Susie’s design school holds a design competition in its honor.  Susie designed a very

~ BEIJING ROCKS ~

Susie donates her time and takes part in the "Rock The Wall Concert & Fashion Show", a charitable event benefiting endangered wildlife all over the world held over the Chinese New Year, 2004.  The benefit concert with top musical artists attracted people from all over the world - and what goes better with music than beautiful models strutting down the Great Wall of China dressed in fabulous creations of Beijing's very own, famed designer, Lilian Lam Chow.  An animal lover herself, Susie did not have to

think twice to jump at the chance of becoming a part of this special event.  A commemorative "monkey" toy was given to each of the attendees, as well as volunteers to commemorate the event and welcome in the Lunar Year of the Monkey! 
~ MILAN CHIC ~

The stylish flair, the indulgence, the beauty - Versace, Cavalli, Gucci, Moschino, Prada - all defines Milan and its "oh-so-chic" fashion sense!

Susie travels to one of the world's most renowned fashion capitals, Milano.  Making her European runway debut for some of Italy's famous fashion houses, Susie is in total awe of the glamour, the excitement, and the fast pace of the fashion shows unveiling the Spring/Summer 2004 

Collections.  While in Milan, Susie got inspired by the cool looks of Milan's young Italian girls and had her hair bobbed just like theirs - for the care free and sassy look. 
~ PARIS MODE ~

Paris, "The City of Lights", where design initiatives from Tokyo, Barcelona, London, New York, and Milan meet and converge.  Since a sense of style is intrinsic to the French culture, Paris slips naturally to the forefront of the Fashion World!  Susie blends perfectly well in this stylish city wearing a double breasted suit in green silk brocade.  Her matching purse and knee high leg wear adds a dash of fun and modernity to this classic ensemble.

Milan and Paris are about nothing if not style.  During the Fashion Weeks for Women's  

Wear - February/March and September/October - both cities are buzzing with beautiful models, and rich and famous people all eagerly anticipating the unveiling of the latest lines.  No matter whether you choose to attend the Spring/Summer or Fall/Winter shows, you can bet that everywhere the sense of "la moda" will be in the air.  Susie makes her runway debuts at both cities and her appearances were received favorably where she was voted Best New Discovery by the Fashion Council and her peers!!!

~ SIBERIAN SPIRIT ~

"Siberian Spirit” is the follow up to the very popular, apple candy haired, Tokyo Trendy Susie.  This time around Susie sports platinum white hair and is in full character mode -- dressed as her alter ego, Akiko, in the Anime/Manga video game, “Warrior Girl”.

Akiko travels to Siberia to  fight evil forces and spirits in order to undo an evil spell cast on her family and the villagers generations ago.  The spell left the village with no human males - as the adult males were either 

killed or captured as zombie slaves, while the young boys were turned into animals... as in the case of "Didi"...

Armed with a Dragon's Tail staff that turns into a dragon to fly her off to her destinations, Akiko also holds in her flask, "holy water" - which enables her to become invisible to the evil mongers.  It is Akiko's quest to undo the spell, stop the evil doers,  forever banish them, as well as reunite the people in her village with their loved ones - including her own family.
~ C'EST MOI TAIPEI ~

Susie celebrates her first year in the modeling business by jet setting off to Taipei, Taiwan to help launch a new fashion magazine!  It came as a wonderful and very fitting surprise to Susie when her modeling agency called to tell her that she has been handpicked by the fashion editors for the new upscale fashion magazine "C'est Moi" for an extensive fashion spread highlighting the best and up and coming designers in Taiwan.

For one fast paced week, Susie was groomed, fitted, gowned, and photographed all over the beautiful city of Taipei wearing some of the most beautiful clothing designs by Taiwan's top designers.  The non-stop work week was quite tiring but like a total pro,
