The Susie Checklist and Links sections have been updated!

The 2005 International Fashion Doll Convention in Las Vegas was a blast!  Susie was a big part of this year's convention, as many new versions of Susie debuted at this event.  R&D also surprised collectors with the exciting new 15-½" RandD Angels, which were also on display during the convention.

The eagerly anticipated ordering information for Ibiza Heat Susie has just been announced on R&D's website.  Ibiza Heat, the second doll in the Basic Susie Collection, will be ready to heat up your summer in mid-July!  Her sexy wavy hair comes in two sizzling hair colors - Mambo Negra (black) and Salsa Caliente (copper red).  

Both dolls are wearing a cute summery knit outfit consisting of a bikini top, shorts, cover-up, bag and open-toe sandals, and to really heat things up, the outfits come in six color variations!  Mambo Negra's outfit is available in cafe brown, dark rose and white.  Salsa Caliente wears either blue, lilac or pink.  The edition size for each variation is 100 for a total of 600 dolls.  

Details were also released about the final fashion in the Seasons Collection, "Summer Crisp", and the first fashion in the Colors Collection, "Denim Blues".  Both fashions are limited editions of 300 each and are priced at $29.  These cute new fashions, as well as the Ibiza Heat dolls, can be pre-ordered right now at R&D!

Summer is just starting to heat up with the hot news that the MetropolitanAsian Collection is set to debut at the end of June!  The Susie dolls that comprise this new collection will be "Sydney Symphony", "Hong Kong: In The Mood" and the previously announced, "Seoul Sensation".

Also coming soon is the "Summer Fashion" which will be the 4th and final fashion in the Xclusively R&D "Seasons Collection".  In addition, a new series of fashions will be issued soon - the "Colors Collection" - which will debut with "Denim Blues".  Separate accessories will also be available soon, including shoe packs and hatboxes.

Rudi from R&D also announced that Picnic in Provence Susie will start shipping soon after a small delay.

Fashion Doll Quarterly's current issue, "Brides" (Spring 2005) contains a full-page ad by R&D that presents some exciting new photos of upcoming Susie's, including Seoul Sensation, S. Casa, Picnic in Provence and Picadilly Dally!  Release dates are not known at this time.

Also, the deadline to submit entries for the Susie Makeover Contest sponsored by FDQ and R&D has been extended by one week.

The new deadline is Friday, April 8th!

Sensational Susie has a slightly different look with some new graphics and navigation features.  In addition, Susie's Gallery is now open with pictures ready for viewing.  Check back soon as many more pictures will be added in the coming weeks!

The Susie Checklist has been updated to a sortable format.  By clicking on the column titles, the information can now be sorted by name, hair color, item number, release date, collection, edition size, original retail cost, and comments.

Siberian Spirit Susie is starting to ship now after a small delay.  If this wasn't good enough news in itself, it was revealed that there is a variation of Siberian Spirit Susie sporting dark blue hair!

The blue-haired version is already creating quite a stir in Susie circles even though the variation, as Rudi of R&D explained, was not intentional.

According to Rudi, the factory ran out of the platinum saran hair for Siberian Spirit, so instead of another long delay, R&D made the decision to substitute another saran hair color.  Dark blue was chosen and now 200 out of the 400 Siberian Spirit Susie dolls issued will have the variation hair color!

Hurry if you want to order the special "Blue Moon" version of Siberian Spirit Susie!  Both versions of the doll appear to be going fast!
